John Adams Academy Finalizes Purchase Former Heald Campus in Roseville

Roseville, CA (July 1, 2015)—Officials from John Adams Academy (JAA) charter school in Roseville announced today they have finalized the purchase of the former Heald College building, increasing their footprint in the Sierra Gate Plaza in Roseville by 50,000 square feet.

The two-story building visible from I-80 once utilized for adult education will soon house an anticipated 500 additional scholars in 2015 and up to 800 by 2017. Requiring a minimal remodel, the site will be ready for scholars when school resumes in the fall.

This purchase comes on the heels of JAA’s purchase of their existing Sierra Gate campus, which the academy had leased and occupied for nearly four years. The school has built an outdoor amphitheater and is in the process of building a multi-purpose room.

By focusing on a traditional classical leadership education for kindergarten through twelfth grade, John Adams Academy develops servant leaders and instills an appreciation for America’s heritage. The Roseville campus, located at 1 Sierra Gate Plaza, has grown to 900 K-12 scholars since opening in 2011. JAA is working on the entitlement process to build a second campus in Lincoln, CA, which is expected to accommodate scholars in the 2017-2018 school year.

Given the ideal location and the former educational use of the Heald facility, this is a perfect fit for our academy,” says JAA Founder Dr. Dean Forman. “The demand for a classical education model was the driving force behind this purchase."
